New EU rules for online shops
Two new obligations apply to every shop that sells to consumers in the EU — on top of the rules that already apply.
- Withdrawal button: a clearly labelled function to withdraw from a purchase online, with an instant confirmation (Directive (EU) 2023/2673).
- Harmonised legal-guarantee notice: the official EU notice about the legal guarantee, in the official design (Directive (EU) 2024/825).
- Product safety information on product pages: manufacturer, EU responsible person, identifiers and warnings (Regulation (EU) 2023/988, GPSR).
- Price reductions must show the lowest price of the 30 days before the reduction (Omnibus Directive).

Is this legal advice?
No. EU Shop Kit implements the technical requirements of EU consumer law for your store. You remain responsible for your shop's legal texts and compliance; for advice on your situation, ask a lawyer.
Do I need it if my business is outside the EU?
If you sell to consumers in the EU, EU consumer law applies to those sales — wherever your business is based.
Which languages are supported?
Shoppers see the withdrawal button, the notice and product safety texts in all 24 official EU languages. The dashboard is available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Polish.
What happens to my shoppers' data?
Withdrawal requests are stored encrypted in Frankfurt (AWS) and kept as proof for the period you choose (3 years by default). If you uninstall the app, your data is deleted after 30 days.
Does it work with my site design?
Yes. The storefront elements are lightweight web components that fit any Wix Editor or Wix Studio site, on desktop and mobile.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, in your Wix account. The free plan stays free.
